Philip present at the feeding of the multitudes of 5,000 plus women and children said to Jesus “it would take more than a half years of wages to feed each person.” Was his response when Jesus “asked where can we get food for all these people.” After being given a boy size lunch of 5 loaves and 2 fish, Jesus looked up at Heaven, Blessed it and gave it to the disciples to feed the 5000. And after all 5000, plus women and children had eaten to full, the disciples took up 12 baskets full just for them. Now Jesus already knew Philip and the other disciples were not sure where the food or money would come from to feed all these people, which is why He asked. To open their eyes and hearts to faith in increase by the Will of the Heavenly Father.  Witnessing such a miracle, changed his and the other disciples, prospective on increase. It gave them all, confidence in knowing Our Father can do so much with little when we give Him what we have, and by His Will it is Blessed and multiplied. Philip is also the best friend of Nathaniel, whom he brought to Jesus. After the Resurrection and Ascension Philip preached about Jesus in Phrygia and Asia Minor. He was martyred in Hierapolis.
